Kunzea muelleri, commonly known as yellow kunzea, is a low-growing, spreading shrub with linear leaves and small groups of pale yellow, stalkless flowers that appear in the summer. It is endemic to mountainous areas of south-eastern Australia and grows in alpine, subalpine and montane heath. It was first formally described in 1867 by English botanist George Bentham and the specific epithet (muelleri) honours Victorian Government Botanist Ferdinand von Mueller. It is common in rocky areas and sometimes forms extensive stands.
