Hypocalymma puniceum, also known as the large myrtle, is a type of shrub that is native to Western Australia and belongs to the Myrtaceae family. It can reach a height of 0.15 to 1.0 metre and produces pink-red flowers between December and April. This plant is commonly found in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, specifically in gravelly sandy tor loam soils.
