Eugenia luschnathiana, also known as pitomba-da-bahia, is a flowering plant native to Brazil. It is a small tree or shrub with dark green leaves and yellowish-white flowers. The fruit, also called pitomba, is a bright orange-yellow berry with a juicy, aromatic pulp. It is commonly used for jellies, preserves, and beverages. While it has been introduced to Florida, it is primarily grown in subtropical regions due to its limited tolerance for frost.
