Eucalyptus utilis, also known as coastal moort or coastal mort, is a mallet or mallee tree native to southern areas of Western Australia. It has smooth bark, egg-shaped to lance-shaped leaves, creamy white flowers, and conical fruit. It can grow up to 15 meters tall and is commonly found in coastal sand dunes, granite hills, and near swamps and estuaries. This species is not considered threatened and is often used for ornamental, windbreak, and shelter-belt purposes due to its drought tolerance and ability to grow in poor soils. Its name, utilis, comes from its many uses in street and farm plantings.
