Eucalyptus orbifolia, also known as round-leaved mallee, is a flowering plant native to inland Australia. It is a tree or mallee with rough bark, oval leaves, yellow flowers, and conical fruit. The tree can grow up to 8 meters in height and produces cream-yellow flowers from July to November. It has rough bark that peels and exposes white-grey bark underneath. This species was first described in 1859 and is often confused with another species, Eucalyptus websteriana. It is found in the Mid West, Wheatbelt, and Goldfields regions of Western Australia, as well as in central Australia and northern South Australia. Eucalyptus orbifolia is commonly used in horticulture as an ornamental plant or light screen, and it is drought and frost tolerant. Its seeds are easy to propagate and it can be grown in a large container.
