Chamelaucium axillare, also known as Esperance waxflower, is a flowering plant native to Western Australia. It is a shrub that can grow up to 2 meters tall and blooms between September and December, producing beautiful white-pink-red flowers. This plant is often used as an ornamental shrub due to its scented evergreen foliage and can also be grown as a light screen or for cut flowers. It is mainly found in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, where it grows in sandy soils. The species was first described by botanist George Bentham in 1867 and later renamed by Ferdinand von Mueller in 1882, but the original name is still widely used.
