Chaetogastra mollis is a flowering plant found in western South America, specifically in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It was first identified by Aimé Bonpland in 1808 and was initially known as Rhexia mollis. It belongs to the family Melastomataceae and is also referred to as Tibouchina mollis.
