Terminalia cambodiana is a species of tree found in flooded forest communities of Cambodia and southern Vietnam, as well as in isolated pockets of forest in the Secondary scrubland community of western Cambodia. It grows to 6-15m tall with whitish-grey, exfoliating bark and large greenish branches. It is commonly used for construction of fishing dams, to make columns for buildings and to make charcoal. Its bark is also used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments. It is a favoured spot for the hairy-nosed otter, Lutra sumatrana, to place its spraints.
