Dansiea grandiflora is a vulnerable species of rainforest tree that is native to Queensland, Australia. It is found only in a small area of notophyll vine forest on Cape York Peninsula and is listed as 'Vulnerable' under the Queensland Nature Conservation Act. The tree was first described in 1990 and later studied in more detail in 1994. It is named after Australian forester and plant collector, Sam Dansie. The tree can grow up to 10 meters tall and has whitish bark and distinct leaves with different colored upper and lower surfaces. Its flowers are zygomorphic and have a unique structure with stamens and a style. Dansiea grandiflora is only found in the Kennedy Hill area on Bromley Station and grows in notophyll vineforest on granite soils near water sources.
