Pimelea bracteata is a shrub species belonging to the Thymelaeaceae family and is found only in the south-west region of New South Wales. It grows up to 2 meters tall and has narrow leaves and pale yellow flowers. The plant was first described in 1902 and has since been classified as critically endangered due to threats such as disease and habitat fragmentation. It is typically found in damp areas near Kiandra in the Snowy Mountains and blooms from November to February.
