Xerochlamys bojeriana is a shrub that belongs to the Sarcolaenaceae family and is found exclusively in Madagascar. Its leaves are papery or slightly leathery and can grow up to 2.5 cm in length. The flowers of this plant can be solitary or in groups of two, and have pink to white petals. Its fruits are round and can reach up to 1.0 cm in length. This plant is mainly found in central Madagascar, in woodlands up to 2,000 m in elevation. However, its habitat is under threat from wildfires. Fortunately, Xerochlamys bojeriana can still be found in protected areas such as Isalo National Park.
