The Schizolaena tampoketsana, also known as sohisika in Malagasy, is a tree species found in the mid-altitude savanna of Ankafobe, Madagascar. It is at risk due to wildfires and the destruction of its habitat for rice farming. The International Union for Conservation of Nature has classified it as critically endangered, with a estimated population of only 203-340 mature individuals. Urgent conservation efforts are needed to protect this species from extinction.
