Androcalva johnsonii is a low, spreading shrub that belongs to the Malvaceae family and is found exclusively in central Queensland. It has hairy branches, egg-shaped or oblong leaves with rounded teeth, and small clusters of white to pale pink flowers. The plant typically grows to a height of 0.3-1m and has leaves that are 10-100mm long. The flowers, which bloom sporadically between June and September, have 5 petal-like sepals and are 14-17mm in diameter. This species was first described in 2006 and was later transferred to the Androcalva genus in 2011. It is named after Robert William Johnson, who collected the type specimens. Androcalva johnsonii is found in woodland and shrubland on rocky hillsides in the Zamia Range in Minerva Hills National Park. It is only known to exist in its type location.
