Androcalva argentea is a unique species of flowering plant that belongs to the Malvaceae family and is found only in Queensland. It is a tall shrub that spreads through rhizomes and has silvery branchlets and leaves with wavy edges and serrated edges. The plant produces dense clusters of white to cream-colored flowers, which bloom from November to January and in March. It was first described in 2005 and later transferred to the Androcalva genus in 2011. The specific name "argentea" refers to the silver color of its leaves. This plant is typically found in forest areas along ridges and creeks in central and southeastern Queensland.
