Viola hallii, also known as Oregon violet or Hall's violet, is a plant species native to southwestern Oregon and northwestern California. It can be found in open areas in forests and chaparral of coastal mountain ranges, typically growing on gravelly soils, often of serpentine origin. This herb has hairless stems and fleshy leaves divided into three leaflets with lance-shaped lobes. Its solitary flower has five petals, with the lower three being cream-colored with yellow bases and red veining, and the upper two being dark red or purplish.
