Viola douglasii, also known as Douglas' violet or Douglas' golden violet, is a plant native to western North America. It can be found in Oregon, California, and Baja California, typically in moist areas with serpentine soils. This herb has short stems and deeply dissected leaves with narrow lobes or compound leaflets. The flowers are solitary and have five bright or deep yellow petals with brown veining and outer surfaces. The largest petal can reach over 2 centimeters in length.
