Viola beckwithii, also known as the Great Basin violet, is a species of violet found in the western United States. It grows in sagebrush habitats in the Great Basin region and is an early blooming plant. This perennial herb has multiple stems that can grow up to 22 centimeters long, with some of the stem underground. Its leaves are fleshy and have different shapes and sizes. The flowers grow from the leaf axils and have two reddish violet petals and three purplish to white petals with purple veins and yellow or orange bases.
