Viola angustifolia is a flowering plant belonging to the genus Viola. It was first described in 1857 by Chilean paleontologist and zoologist Rudolph Amandus Philippi. In 2019, it was renamed V. wikipedia by John Michael Watson and Ana Rosa Flores, who believed the original name was illegitimate. However, this was found to be incorrect as the name had been previously published as a synonym and was not valid. The plant is closely related to V. acanthophylla, V. bustillosia, and V. cheeseana, with its distinguishing feature being a shallowly long-serrate leaf margin and shorter peduncle. It is believed to be endemic to the Santiago region of Chile, with only one known specimen collected in 1855.
