Salix waldsteiniana, also known as the Waldstein willow, is a type of willow tree that is native to Europe. It typically flowers in May or June and can grow to be anywhere from 30 to 150 cm in size. Its leaves turn a beautiful golden color in the fall, making it a popular decorative plant. This species can be found in various regions of Europe, including Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the Balkan peninsula, with a particular preference for higher altitudes. It is also known by the scientific names Salix arbuscula var. waldsteiniana and Salix prunifolia Sm.
