Chaetocarpus ferrugineus, also known as ලමිරිය (lamiriya) in Sinhala, is a plant belonging to the Peraceae family and is found exclusively in Sri Lanka. It is commonly found in the understory of rainforests in the wet zone. The plant is primarily used for its wood, which is used as fuelwood. Its cultural significance is reflected in its Sinhala name.
