Acalypha monococca, also known as slender threeseed mercury, is a species of flowering plant native to the South Central and Midwestern regions of the United States. It grows in dry, sunny, sandy or rocky areas, in prairies, barrens, or woodlands. It is an erect annual, growing to around 40 cm tall, and produces flowers from summer to fall. It is similar to Acalypha gracilens, but can be distinguished by its single-seeded fruits, narrower leaves, and smaller stature.
