Parinari costata is a tall and wide plant species belonging to the family Chrysobalanaceae. It is commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore, as well as in Thailand and on the islands of Sumatra and Borneo. This plant can reach a height of 70 meters and a width of 117 centimeters. Its stipules are 5 millimeters long, while its flowers have a diameter of approximately 4 millimeters. The fruits of this plant are around 30 millimeters in size. Parinari costata is typically found in swamps, sub-montane forests, and on hillsides and ridges at an altitude of 1,400 meters.
