Parastemon grandifructus is a tree belonging to the Chrysobalanaceae family, known for its large fruit. It can reach heights of up to 30 meters and has a trunk diameter of 30 centimeters. The fruits of this tree are ellipsoid in shape and can grow up to 3.5 cm in length. This species is found only in Malaysian Borneo and is typically found in lowland forests, including swamps, at altitudes ranging from sea-level to 150 meters.
