Xylopia polyantha is a species of plant in the Annonaceae family native to Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It is a tree reaching 15–18 meters in height and 20–25 centimeters in diameter with papery, lance-shaped to elliptical leaves. The flowers have 3 oval to triangular sepals and 6 fleshy, yellowish petals arranged in two rows of 3. The fruit occur in clusters of 5–10 and typically have 1–3 seeds with an aril covering the base of the seed. It has been observed growing in clay soils, in secondary forests at elevations of up to 900 meters and has been recorded as being used in Bolivia for making ropes and in roofing thatch.
