Xylopia macrantha is a species of plant in the Annonaceae family native to Colombia, Costa Rica and Panama. It is a tree with narrow, oblong, leathery leaves, and its solitary inflorescences occur in the axils of leaves on short pedicels. Its large flowers have 3 sepals fused to form a bell-shaped calyx, 6 petals arranged in two rows of 3, and stamen 1.5-2 millimeters long. It is found in tropical rainforests and seasonal forests at elevations of 0-550 meters, and its pollen is shed as permanent tetrads.
