Annona haitiensis is a plant species found only on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. It was first described by Swedish botanist Robert Elias Fries and named after Haiti, where the specimen he studied was collected. This bush can reach a height of 1.5 meters and has dull, pale green leaves with 8-10 pairs of secondary veins. Its flowers, usually solitary but sometimes in pairs, have triangular sepals and oblong petals covered in shaggy brown hair. The plant's reproductive biology involves the shedding of permanent tetrads for pollen.
