Prosartes maculata, also known as yellow mandarin, spotted mandarin, or nodding mandarin, is a perennial plant in the lily family. It is native to the Great Smoky Mountains and other parts of the Appalachian region in North America. This herb can grow up to 80 cm tall and produces bell-shaped, cream-colored flowers with purple spots. While there have been reports of isolated populations in Michigan, these are believed to have been lost due to urban development.
