Wurmbea saccata is a type of plant that belongs to the Colchicaceae family and is only found in Australia. It is a perennial herb that can reach heights of 10-35 cm and produces pink or white flowers in June. This species is specifically found in the Gascoyne IBRA bioregion in north-western Western Australia, and typically grows in gritty red soils or damp silty soils near creek beds and rock pools.
