Wurmbea inflata is a unique plant species belonging to the Colchicaceae family and is only found in Australia. Its name, "inflata," refers to its enlarged fruits. This perennial herb grows up to 15 cm tall and produces sweet-scented pink or white flowers during the rainy season. It is mainly found in the Carnarvon and Gascoyne regions of Western Australia, where it thrives in shallow or sparse red loam soils on rocky hillsides.
