Hedycarya loxocarya, also known as yellow beech, is a species of flowering plant found in north-eastern Queensland. It is a small to medium sized tree with egg-shaped to elliptic leaves and separate male and female flowers. The male flowers have 8 tepals and over 60 stamens, while the female flowers have 6 tepals and about 30 carpels. The fruit is a bright red, oval drupe. This species was first described in 1870 and is found in rainforests and open forests at altitudes between 350 and 1,150 meters. It is listed as of "least concern" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
