Persea brevipetiolata is a plant species native to the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Veracruz. It is a tree up to 8 meters tall and has thick, leathery leaves that are up to 16 cm long. The petioles are less than 8 mm long and the underside of the leaves have a raised vein network. The flowers are yellow-green and 4 mm in diameter, and the fruits are spherical and about 2 mm in diameter. It is found in lowland forests in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec at elevations below 250 m.
