Eremophila viscida, also known as varnish bush, is a flowering plant found only in Western Australia. It is a large shrub or small tree with sticky green leaves, colorful sepals, and greenish-white petals with red to purple markings. The plant produces single or grouped flowers with a tube-like shape and 4 stamens. It is found in shrublands on salt lake margins, sandplains, and stony gullies in certain regions of Western Australia. Due to its limited distribution, Eremophila viscida is considered a threatened species and is protected by conservation efforts. It is also popular in horticulture for its attractive flowers and ability to grow in a variety of soils and conditions.
