Eremophila alternifolia, also known as narrow-leaved poverty bush, is a variable shrub found in the figwort family and is native to areas in New South Wales, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia. It has been used by Aboriginal Australians for medicinal purposes and contains compounds that affect cardiac activity. The plant has purple, red, pink, white, cream, or yellow flowers and is commonly used in horticulture as a drought-resistant garden plant. It is also sold as a medicinal plant and can be easily propagated from cuttings.
