Buddleja utahensis, also known as Utah butterfly bush or Panamint butterfly bush, is a species of shrub found in the southwestern United States. It was first named and described by Coville in 1892 and is commonly found in limestone outcrops at elevations of 700-2000m. This compact shrub has a greyish bark and persistent naked twigs, with leaves that are 1.5-3.5cm long and covered in short, silver-grey hairs. Its inflorescences are 4-12cm long and have 3-7 pairs of heads with pale yellow flowers. Buddleja utahensis is difficult to cultivate and is rarely found in gardens, as it requires well-draining soil and infrequent watering. It is considered hardy in USDA zone 8.
