Buddleja acuminata is a rare shrub found in Madagascar and eastern Zaire, growing in forest edges and clearings at elevations of 50-800m. It was first described in 1810 by Poiret. The plant is a sarmentose shrub, reaching heights of 1.5-3m, with stellate-tomentose branchlets. Its leaves are dark green and have petioles 0.7-2cm long, with variable shapes and sizes. The inflorescences are white panicles, initially small and congested, but can grow up to 15cm long. Buddleja acuminata is not currently cultivated.
