Diplacus mephiticus, also known as skunky monkeyflower or foul odor monkeyflower, is a species of monkeyflower native to the Sierra Nevada and western Great Basin regions of California and Nevada. It was previously classified as Mimulus mephiticus, but has since been reclassified as Mimulus nanus var. mephiticus. This diminutive summer annual grows to a maximum height of 15 cm, with linear or lance-shaped leaves that emit an unpleasant odor when crushed. The trumpet-shaped flowers can reach up to 2 cm in length and come in magenta or yellow, with occasional plants displaying both colors. The lower lip of the flower is marked with purplish lines and spots.
