Orobanche crenata, also known as bean broomrape, is a parasitic plant that commonly targets the faba bean. It is native to the Mediterranean region and has also been introduced to other areas such as Ethiopia. This plant does not have chlorophyll and relies on its host for nutrients and water. It poses a significant threat to legume production.
