Salvia sordida is a rare perennial shrub found only in a small area in Colombia, growing at a high elevation next to streams. It can reach up to 2 meters tall and has a whitish-green color. The leaves are small and oval-shaped, with a grey underside. The plant produces short, dense racemes of purple flowers, which also grow in the upper leaf axils. This species is considered the most endangered in the Labiatae family in Colombia.
