Salvia misella, also known as tropical sage, is a type of annual herb that can be found in various regions of tropical America, particularly in semi-arid areas on disturbed bushy ground. It can grow at elevations ranging from sea level to 2,200 metres (7,200 ft). This plant is similar to another species, Salvia occidentalis, but can be distinguished by its longer calyx (7 millimetres) and blue flowers that are 5 millimetres in size.
