Salvia greatae, also known as Orocopia sage or lavender sage, is a flowering plant in the mint family found in the mountainous Colorado Desert of southern California. It grows in Sonoran Desert habitats and can be a dominant species in certain areas. This low, rounded shrub has hairy branches and leaves with sharp, spiny edges. Its flowers are pinkish purple and have a double-lipped tubular shape, surrounded by spiny sepals. This plant is known for its aromatic scent.
