Salvia falcata is a perennial shrub found in a small area in NW Cundinamarca, Colombia. It grows in dry bushland at a relatively low elevation of 1,000 meters. The plant can reach up to 2 meters in height and has 4-angle stems with many branches. Its leaves are lanceolate-elliptic to ovate-elliptic, ranging from 6 to 11 cm in length and 1.8 to 4.7 cm in width. The inflorescence consists of single racemes in the leaf axils, with a 2.6 to 2.8 cm red corolla. This species of salvia is unique due to its low elevation and red flowers.
