Prostanthera incana, also known as velvet mint-bush, is a flowering plant found in south-eastern continental Australia. It is a shrub with egg-shaped leaves and lilac-coloured flowers, typically growing to a height of 1-2.5 meters. This plant is mostly found in near-coastal areas of southern New South Wales, and occasionally in Victoria. It was first described in 1834 by George Bentham, based on specimens collected by Charles Fraser and Alan Cunningham. Velvet mint-bush grows in forest and woodland areas with shallow sandy soil. It blooms from August to December.
