The plant can grow up to 3 meters tall and has leaves that resemble duck's feet, giving it the local name "ngọc nữ lá chân vịt". Its appearance is similar to other "pagoda flowers" but with unique lobed leaves that are around 130 x 100 mm in size and have 5-7 lobes.
