Callicarpa kwangtungensis, also known as beautyberry, is a tree species native to China. It has been introduced to Europe as an ornamental plant due to its attractive light-pink fruit and pink to white flowers. However, the berries are bitter and not suitable for human consumption, and are only eaten by birds and other wildlife when other food sources are scarce. This species is not commonly consumed by animals, making it a less desirable food source.
