Conandron ramondioides is a species of flowering plant in the family Gesneriaceae native to eastern Asia. It is commonly found in China, Japan, and Taiwan, growing on damp rock faces, in forests, and along streamsides. It is a perennial plant, growing up to 30 cm tall, with large basal leaves and purple flowers that bloom in the summer. Its Japanese name, 岩煙草, translates to "rock tobacco," referring to the resemblance of its leaves to tobacco and its preference for growing on exposed rock.
