Jacaranda subalpina is a beautiful flowering tree that is native to Brazil. It can grow to be anywhere between 5 to 12 metres tall and has bipinnate leaves with 11 to 23 pinnae and 17 to 23 leaflets. The leaflets are 0.8 to 4 cm long and have a narrow elliptic or oblong shape. The flowers of this tree have purple petals and a white throat, and are 4.5 to 6.5 cm long and 3 to 5 cm wide. The fruit of the Jacaranda subalpina is subwoody and grows to be 5 to 6.5 cm long and 2.6 to 3.5 cm wide. This tree is a beautiful addition to any landscape and is a unique species that can only be found in Brazil.
