Rubia agostinhoi is a climbing plant species that belongs to the Rubiaceae family and is only found in the Azores. It was identified by ecologists Pierre Dansereau and Pinto da Silva in 1977. This plant has long, smooth stems and dark green, leathery leaves with small spines on the edges. The flowers are usually abundant and the fruits are small and black when ripe. This plant can be found on all of the Azorean islands except Graciosa, and it typically grows in ravines, forests, and heather bushes at altitudes ranging from sea level to over 1,000 meters.
