Leptodermis oblonga, also known as the baby lilac shrub, is a type of flowering plant that belongs to the Rubiaceae family. It is native to Mongolia, central China, and northern Vietnam and is commonly found in sunny areas such as hillsides, roadsides, and thickets. This deciduous shrub typically grows to be 45cm tall and wide, but can reach up to 60cm. It is able to thrive in USDA zones 5 through 8 and there is a specific cultivar called 'Summer Stars'.
