Neobracea bahamensis is a flowering plant that is found in Cuba and several islands in the Bahamas. It grows in coastal areas, pine barrens, and near swamps. This shrub can reach up to 1 meter in height and has greyish brown branches. Its leaves are firm and oblong or obtuse in shape, and clustered at the tips of branches. The flowers are white with a reddish throat and have a unique pinwheel shape. This plant is important for the habitats of iguanas in the Bahamas and its flowers can be used as a flavoring for rice.
