Asclepias nyctaginifolia, also known as Mojave milkweed, is a perennial herb found in the southwestern United States. It grows in desert habitats and can reach up to half a meter in height. The leaves are oval to lance-shaped and arranged in opposite pairs, with a slightly hairy stem. The flowers are pink-tinted pale green and form a dense umbel up to 8 centimeters wide. The fruit is a large follicle up to 9 centimeters long. This milkweed species is an important food source for monarch butterflies and other pollinators.
